Methodical Precision

The Detailing Process Map

Detailing is a deliberate, systematic series of paint correction and preservation stages. It is not a quick wash. Below is the precise operational path we follow during our detailing consultations.

Stage 1: Incoming Inspection & Paint Depth Gauging

Before any machine touches the paintwork, we wash the panel and assess the clear coat. Using digital ultrasonic depth gauges, we record total clear coat thickness across various areas to ensure it is safe to polish.

Stage 2: Three-Step Chemical Decontamination

Rinsing does not clear bonded metallic grit or road tar. We apply specialized iron dissolving agents (which turn purple upon contact with iron fallout), followed by tar softeners, and finally a clay bar sweep to pull remaining stubborn particles out of the paint's pores.

Stage 3: Paint Assessment & Tape Shielding

We use bright LED panel lamps to highlight swirl marks, scratches, and hazing. All delicate rubber trims, plastic components, and door handles are carefully taped over with low-tack protective paper tape to prevent polish staining.

Stage 4: Dual-Action Machine Polishing

Based on our inspection, we select a pad and compound combination. We use dual-action orbital polishers that rotate and oscillate simultaneously, preventing hotspots and micro-swirling, and gently levelling out light scratches in the clear coat.

Stage 5: Surface Prep & Shielding Application

An alcohol surface wipe-down removes polishing oil residues, leaving clean paint. We then apply your selected protection layer (polymer sealant, carnuba wax blend, or advanced ceramic coating) to lock in clarity.

Realistic Paint Corrections Disclaimer

While our detailing procedures can help dramatically reduce visible hazing and swirl marks, deep scratches that have breached the clear coat cannot be removed by polishing. We do not claim perfect paint corrections; outcomes depend directly on your vehicle's starting condition and clear coat thickness.
